Frequenty Asked Questions

  1. Why should I sign up for a CSA share? To reserve the best that we have and ensure a hefty weekly dose of nutritious, local, sustainably produced food for you and your loved ones!
  2. What is a Dairy Credit? A dairy credit will grant you one item that is made in the farmstead creamery. This could be a half gallon of raw milk, a quart of yogurt, a slice of one of our many cheeses, or one of the many other items from our creamery. The only item that is worth two credits is the Camembert cheese. Please take into consideration that we do not always have every item available every day, since our cows produce less milk during certain times of year and the creamery does not make certain products every week.
  3. Do I have to pay a deposit on glass?  The cost of the glass jars and bottles are not included in the dairy share. The bottles do need to be returned.
  4. When do I receive my meats?  The pork and beef are distributed every 4 weeks. The dates are determined depending on the season.  The chickens will be distributed on certain dates, which will be announced through our CSA newsletter.
  5. What is in the meat share?  The meats are pre-bagged for all the distribution locations.  We usually give a good variety of different cuts in the share.  For example, in the pork share you can find bacon, sausage, ribs, ground pork, chops, etc. and in the beef you can expect some ground beef, stew meats, steaks, etc.

You will get a prorated cost for your share if you start after the session has begun and there is  $25 late to join fee.
